Yesterday evening after a couple of rearranged shoots due to the awful British weather I headed in to the city to meet Andrew and Carley for their engagement shoot. I always encourage my couples to choose a location that is special to them and somewhere they have spent time together, this makes it an interesting and inspiring location for me and means the images will mean all the more to them in years to come. Andrew and Carley choose the Mustard Pot Cafe, somewhere they spend many a happy hour having breakfast, coffee and amazing cakes (so I have heard!). When shooting inside depending on how light the location is lighting is usually required and the owner Amy kindly opened the cafe a little later for us so we could shoot with no people around! We spent an hour or so at the cafe before going for a walk around the gorgeous Norwich Streets for the rest of their shoot.
Andrew and Carley booked me around 2 years ago and I can’t believe their date is almost here already! They are getting married 22 years to the date Carley’s Mum and Dad got married and in the same church, what could be more romantic!
Here is one from the cafe as their sneak peek! It is a very cool little place, with local artists work for sale on the walls and fabulous retro furniture and crockery it is on Bridewell Ally and is well worth a visit!
Thanks for a great shoot guys and picking such a cool location, I look forward to sharing the rest with you soon! x
